@Ankith5, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

Basic Power Reset (Hard Reset)

Do a hard reset to clear residual power.

Shut down the laptop completely.

Unplug the charger.

Press and hold the power button for 15 seconds.

Plug the charger back in.

Power it on and test without the charger.

Battery Status Check

Check Windows battery report and health.

Generate Battery Report:

Open Command Prompt as Administrator.

Run: powercfg /batteryreport /output "C:\battery-report.html"

Open the report in your browser (C:\battery-report.html).

Check:

Design Capacity vs Full Charge Capacity

Cycle Count

If Full Charge Capacity is way below Design Capacity → battery may be failing.

Update BIOS and Drivers

Go to Victus Gaming Laptop 15-fa1030ca (8G9K0UA) Software and Driver Downloads | HP® Support.

Download and install:

Latest BIOS

Chipset drivers

HP System Event Utility

Restart your system.

HP Hardware Diagnostics

Use HP's built-in UEFI hardware diagnostics tool:

Access Diagnostics:

Turn off the laptop.

Press Esc, then F2 repeatedly during boot until the diagnostics menu appears.

Run:

Battery Test

AC Adapter Test

This will tell you if HP detects any hardware or battery failure.

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
