Hi, I own a HP Pavilion x360 14-dh1977nd laptop. But it won't show any sign of life anymore since earlier today. It wouldn't turn on, I assume the battery was dead, so I went to charge it, but nothing happend. The charging light doesn't turn on. I tried different outlet and a different charger also from a hp laptop but nothing happend.
So I tried holding the power button for 60 seconds without the charger, ect, but nothing changed.
Nothing turns on, no charging lights, no lights on the keyboard and nothing on the display. It's been a couple hours still no success. Would love to know what's wrong. Thank you in advanced.

Hi @sterre01,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding the HP Pavilion x360 laptop charging issue!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Try these steps:
Check Power Source and Adapter Connection:
- Ensure the electrical outlet is functioning by testing it with another device.
- Inspect the power adapter and cable for any visible damage. Even if using another HP charger didn’t work, ensure both adapters are properly connected.
Perform a Hard Reset:
- Disconnect the charger from the laptop.
- Press and hold the power button for about 15-20 seconds. This can help discharge remaining power from the capacitors.
- Release the button and reconnect the charger to the laptop.
- Try turning on the laptop again.
Remove Any Accessories:
- Remove any connected peripherals or accessories (USB drives, external keyboard/mouse) that may affect the power settings.
Inspect the Battery:
- If possible, remove and reinsert the battery. Some HP Pavilion models allow battery removal.
- If the battery is non-removable, ensure the battery contacts are clean and secure.
Check the Charging Port:
- Inspect the laptop’s charging port for any dust or damage that might prevent a good connection.
Test with a Different Battery:
- If you have access to another compatible battery, try swapping it to check if the battery itself is the issue.
I hope this helps.
