My new laptop came with a Remcos RAT also preinstalled. Neither HP, Microsoft, or Best Buy will take any sort of responsibility much less offer any kind of useful help. Their idea is to run scanners that this malware is designed to avoid by disabling windows security, among others. The scanners run and say everything is good, but if you dig into the files you see all that has been disabled. It lists me as administrator but all my requests (commands) are denied access by DCOM. Default user and Default 1000000 user appear to be running the show.
