@tnbun, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP Laptop - 17-by3007cy is running low on storage and you have cloud storage available, you can move files from your PC to the cloud to free up space. Here's a step-by-step guide to help you do that:

Identify Your Cloud Storage Provider

First, confirm which cloud service you're using. Common ones include:

  • OneDrive (built into Windows 11)
  • Google Drive
  • Dropbox
  • iCloud Drive

Move Files to the Cloud

If You're Using OneDrive (default on Windows 11):

  1. Open File Explorer.
  2. On the left panel, click OneDrive.
  3. Drag and drop files (like Documents, Pictures, Videos) into the OneDrive folder.
  4. Once uploaded, you can right-click the file > Free up space to remove the local copy and keep it only in the cloud.

If You're Using Google Drive:

  1. Download and install Google Drive for Desktop: https://www.google.com/drive/download/
  2. Sign in and set up a sync folder.
  3. Move files into the Google Drive folder.
  4. Once synced, you can delete the local copy if needed.

If You're Using Dropbox:

  1. Download and install Dropbox: https://www.dropbox.com/downloading
  2. Sign in and move files into the Dropbox folder.
  3. Use Selective Sync or Smart Sync to keep files online-only.

Clean Up Local Storage

After uploading:

  • Use Storage Sense in Windows 11 to automatically clean up temporary files.
    • Go to Settings > System > Storage > Storage Sense.
  • Empty your Recycle Bin

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
