my laptop has 8 gb ram out of which only 5.9 gb is usable , it says 2.1 gb is hardware reserved how can i use my full ram

Sorry for jumping in. Sounds like your machine has AMD processor/CPU. That is a known issue which is related to AMD processors. Please check the following article:.

That memory is used by the APU's video controller to render images (just like the memory on a stand alone video card). There might be an option in the BIOS settings to reduce the amount of memory reserved for the APU. If there is not, there is nothing you can do to change this.
