Hello!!!! I have My laptop COMPAQ PRESARIO V3500, I Need update the BIOS. I red an article in this forum, but I can't open the Download link with the drive. PLEASE HELP

Solved: Need BIOS Update for Compaq Presario V3500 - HP Support Community - 7610279

 

You cannot update the BIOS if you are running Windows 7.

 

The BIOS update I provided in the above discussion is only good if your notebook your PC has an AMD processor.

 

If you can't open the links, I have corrected them to work.

Yes, I recommend you install the supported Vista operating system to update the BIOS.

 

I don't know what happens on the v3500 models, but I know that on the dv6500 models with the AMD processors if you update the BIOS using Windows 7 or newer, the PC becomes nothing more than a paperweight.

 

I'm afraid the same thing would happen to your notebook too.
