i have a new HP Pavilion laptop 15-eh3085c with continually asks if I want to allow HP Omen System Optimizer to make changes to my computer. How do I disable this from continually asking me? I do not want this feature.

Hi @JanRock,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
The "User Account Control" (UAC) prompt that continually asks if you want to allow a program to make changes to your computer is a security feature in Windows that helps prevent unauthorized changes to your system. If you're getting this prompt repeatedly for the HP Omen System Optimizer, you have a few options.
Run as Administrator: Try running the HP Omen System Optimizer as an administrator. Right-click on the program's shortcut or executable file, and select "Run as administrator." This might bypass the UAC prompt in the future. However, keep in mind that this may not always work for all programs, especially if they require administrator privileges for certain tasks.
Disable UAC (Not Recommended): You can disable UAC, but this is not recommended because it reduces the security of your system. To disable UAC:
- Type "UAC" in the Windows search bar and select "Change User Account Control settings."
- Move the slider to the bottom to "Never notify," and click "OK."
- You will need to restart your computer for the changes to take effect.
Check for Updates: Ensure that your HP Omen System Optimizer is up to date. Sometimes, software updates include improvements that can resolve compatibility issues and reduce UAC prompts.
Check for Malware: Sometimes, malicious software can mimic legitimate programs to gain access to your system. Ensure that the HP Omen System Optimizer you have installed is legitimate and not a malware impersonator.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.

I am using window 11 and I need to create a shortcut to solve this UAC issue for a non administrator user. You mention a programme shortcut but I cannot find a way to make a shortcut for omen system optimiser it doe not show as a separate application as is part of omen gaming hub which also does not have the option of a shortcut only to pin or unpin to task bar.
