Got laptop for Christmas. New to windows 10. Thought McAfee came with but when I click on it it gives me a window saying they will download my app shortly but nothing ever happens. I have a Norton subscription already that I can put on this new one. How do I take McAfee out to download Norton.

Hello, if you want to use an other software same Norton you need to uninstall McAffee. For this, please right clic on Start menu and go to "applications and features". In this, please clic manually on all McAffee software for uninstall all and reboot your PC when it is necessary.

When all McAffee programs will be uninstalled, you can install your Norton software.

Hi,

You can use the McAfee removal tool to remove all McAfee products from the notebook

http://us.mcafee.com/apps/supporttools/mcpr/mcpr.asp

You can also uninstall directly from Windows. Take a look at this article which has a step by step video

How to remove McAfee

Hope it helps,
