HP Spectre x360 Laptop - 15t touch Plus
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Good afternoon,

So I finally got my new HP Spectre x360 Laptop - 15t touch Plus delivered yesterday from the Us to Europe. Unfortunately, the computer does not show any life sign then I connect power connector to the laptop. It doesnt show any power led and it doesnt turn on then power cable is connected.

Maybe somebody can help me?

Thank you!

Hi

Not really.   DOA is something to take up with the seller.

The Plug and Voltage are suitable for European households?

Leave it plugged in for a few hours and hope a change happens.

Power LED is that on the charger, the Laptop, both - neither?

Does the charger feel warm?

Hi, Lil Boy Blue. Thanks for your reply.

For the plug I bought Europe Travel Plug Adapter.  I also checked DC output from the charger, which is ~19 volts (I assume its okey).

I would like to emphasize that this is the first time I shiped an electric device from US, so Im not sure if I can plug US charger to European power voltage.. (220V).

As you mention, I leave laptop plugged in for a few hours, will see if something changes:(

LEDS not indicating any life signs, laptop neither charger (actually dont see any leds on this type of charger..)

So far Im charging my laptop for 1h, charger doesnt feel warm so far.

You need to know the INPUT voltage range.

The wide-range input feature of the computer permits it to operate from any line voltage from 100 to 120 V
ac, or from 220 to 240 V ac.
So that would seem to suggest it will work directly in the UK.  BUT....
The power cord sets must have a minimum current capacity of 10 A and a nominal voltage rating of 125
or 250 V ac, as required by the power system of each country or region.
Therefore the power cord may be US specific and not suitable for the UK/EU.

This link shows a pictiure of an adapter and the INPUT rated voltage is....
100 - 240v and that is what yours needs to have.

So you need to buy a new power cord if the rating is for the US.

Next the travel adapter may not be adequate and not actually connecting with the pins on the plug.

Your thoughts???

Hopfully you are right and this is a problem with US charger..

Anyways I had a contact with friend of mine who works in tech company and he is selling HP products. He's got at home one extra charger for my laptop. I will get it in a couple of hours.

Keep you updated if any success!

So I just tested a new European adapter with the same specification from the amazon link you added, unforunatlly by pluging new adapter still no life sign, power led is not lighting up.

New Adapter Specifications I tested:

4.5*3.0mm Output voltage: 19.5V Output current: 2.31A Output power: 45W Input voltage: AC 100V~240V 50/60Hz

Probably there is something else with this laptop:( Tomorrow I will try to call to hp support will see what they say.
