I have a Zbook studio G5 laptop and because it has no physical ethernet connection, I bought an ethernet to USB-C adapter. Everything works fine except that the adapter stays powered after I shutdown the laptop. In that case, the lights of the adapter stay on.

Question: how do I disable the power to the USB-c after I shutdown the laptop?

I looked in the BIOS but I only found an option to disable charging after shutdown for the normal USB ports. Also, a search on the internet did not solve it.

Thank you in advance

Looks like the USB-C port supports sleep and charge and also charge when off. Please try from Device Manager

   (a) Go to USB section

   (b) Right click the USB High speed or USB-C

   (c) Select Poower Management tab

   (d) Turn off as shown

   (e) Click Ok/Apply to get out.
