Hi @Micha27,

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're stoked to have you on board!

To help us get started on resolving your issue, could you please share the model name of your device?

Meanwhile, you can try these steps:

Check Device Manager:

  • Open Device Manager by right-clicking on the Start menu and selecting "Device Manager."
  • Look under "Imaging devices" or "Cameras" for your webcam. If it's listed but has an exclamation mark, there might be a driver issue.

Update Camera Drivers:

  • Right-click on the camera device in Device Manager and select "Update driver."
  • Choose the option to search automatically for updated driver software.

Enable the Camera:

  • Right-click on the camera device and ensure it's enabled. If the option is shown as "Enable device," click on it.

Run Windows Troubleshooter:

  • Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot.
  • Under "Find and fix other problems," select "Camera" and run the troubleshooter.

Check Privacy Settings:

  • Go to Settings > Privacy > Camera.
  • Ensure that camera access is enabled for the device and apps you wish to use it with.

Restart the PC:

  • Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve hardware recognition issues.

Perform a System Update:

  • Ensure your Windows is up to date by visiting Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update.

Check for Physical Issues:

  • If none of the software solutions work, ensure that the camera is physically intact and not damaged.

I hope this helps.

I'm glad I could help! 😊 If this resolved your issue, please mark it as "Accepted Solution" and click "Yes" on "Was this reply helpful?" Your feedback not only keeps us going but also helps others find the solution faster! 👍

Take care and have an amazing day ahead! 🚀
