Meanwhile, you can try these steps:
Check Device Manager:
- Open Device Manager by right-clicking on the Start menu and selecting "Device Manager."
- Look under "Imaging devices" or "Cameras" for your webcam. If it's listed but has an exclamation mark, there might be a driver issue.
Update Camera Drivers:
- Right-click on the camera device in Device Manager and select "Update driver."
- Choose the option to search automatically for updated driver software.
Enable the Camera:
- Right-click on the camera device and ensure it's enabled. If the option is shown as "Enable device," click on it.
Run Windows Troubleshooter:
- Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot.
- Under "Find and fix other problems," select "Camera" and run the troubleshooter.
Check Privacy Settings:
- Go to Settings > Privacy > Camera.
- Ensure that camera access is enabled for the device and apps you wish to use it with.
Restart the PC:
- Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve hardware recognition issues.
Perform a System Update:
- Ensure your Windows is up to date by visiting Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update.
Check for Physical Issues:
- If none of the software solutions work, ensure that the camera is physically intact and not damaged.
