@PrathamT, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

It’s definitely frustrating when you can’t claim a benefit you’re expecting, especially with something like the Xbox Game Pass through the OMEN Gaming Hub. I don’t think it’s a scam, but it sounds like there may be a glitch or issue with the activation process. Here are a few things you can try to fix the problem:

Ensure You’re Signed In to the Right Account

Make sure you're signed in with the correct Microsoft account on both OMEN Gaming Hub and the Xbox app. Sometimes, the Xbox app won't recognize the offer if the account is different from the one linked to the game pass.

Check for Updates in OMEN Gaming Hub

Make sure you’re using the latest version of the OMEN Gaming Hub. If not, update it and restart your laptop.

Check the Xbox App

Open the Xbox app separately, not just through the OMEN Gaming Hub, and try checking if you can manually claim the trial from there.

Log out and log back in to the Xbox app to make sure it syncs correctly with your account.

Check if your subscription status has changed in the Xbox app after clicking "Start Free Trial."

Restart the Process

Close both OMEN Gaming Hub and the Xbox app. Then, try starting the process from scratch:

Open OMEN Gaming Hub.

Click Start Free Trial.

If the Xbox app still opens but nothing happens, try to right-click on the Xbox icon in the system tray and select “Close Window”. Then, reopen it to check if it syncs the trial.

Clear Xbox App Cache

Open Windows Settings > Apps.

Scroll down and find the Xbox app, then select it and click Advanced options.

Click Reset or Repair. This will clear the app's cache and might fix any issues.

Reinstall Both OMEN Gaming Hub and Xbox App

If nothing works, try uninstalling and reinstalling both the OMEN Gaming Hub and the Xbox app. This ensures that there’s no corrupted data interfering with the process.

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
