In few months I encountered , separately, the following problems:
- USB post stopping working
- battery plugged in not charging
I tried several solution (in the firt case, after contacting the HP service, I was going to send my laptop for harware repair)
Eventually, in both cases I just fixed the problem by re-flashing the bios
I didnt' try EFI Diagnostics from F2 at power-on (maybe it might work as well)
I just wonder where is the vulnerability of the system in such cases.

@Albertotom Due to the current global COVID-19 situation, we're seeing an influx of customers coming in for support and we appreciate your patience.
That said, It could have been a bad update that caused those issues, but once the Bios was flashed, its been taken care off, and I'm glad its been sorted,
Let us know if you need anything else, take care and have a good day, ahead.
P.S: Welcome to HP Community 😉

Thank you for your kind answer
What is somehow strange to me is that I dind't change the bios version
I just flashed the same bios (not a new version) over itself, to fix two independent issues which presented a couple of weeks apart from each other (USB not working the first time, battery not charging the second time).
None of these issues was detected by HP support app.
May be that some hardware setting is reset by flashing the bios?

@Albertotom Yes, that's entirely possible, however, the BIOS flash normally reverts those settings that could cause issues on the device,
have a good day.
