Hi to all, i've been dealing with this issue since i redowngraded my OS to windows 7(64-bit), that my PCI Simple Communications Controller is unknown thou i'm not sure what it does but it's just annoying and wanted to fix it.
Hardware IDs:
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_9C3A&SUBSYS_2162103C&REV_04
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_9C3A&SUBSYS_2162103C
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_9C3A&CC_078000
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_9C3A&CC_0780
I've already downloaded Intel Management Engine Interface (MEI) Driver but everytime i try to install, i keep getting this error message "the following product could not be installed: intel management engine components a required update is missing:kernel-mode driver framework 1.11".
I hope i could find the answer here and thanks in advance!

Hi,
Please try:
http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp66501-67000/sp66636.exe
Otherwise post back what is your machine. I can't find HP Pavilion TouchSmart 14-n054.. Please use the following instructions to find out the model/product of your machine:

Regards.

Hi:
If the driver banhien doesn't work, use this one...
This package provides the Intel Management Engine Components Driver for supported notebook models running a supported operating system.
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp76001-76500/sp76159.exe
I was working with another forum member that was missing the same device and the driver on his notebook's support page didn't work even though it showed support for the same hardware ID as yours, and I first gave him the same file banhien gave you.

HI, thanks for the quick reply, i've tried to download and install sp66636.exe and sp76159.exe but same thing. BTW, here's the Product Id: F2D20PA#UUF.
And i always get this thing wherein i couldnt bypass the installation of Intel Management Engine Components Driver everytime i try to install it:(see image below)
And i also check the other that Paul provided and tried to manually install it but get this error(see image below), i guess because i couldnt complete the installation.
My laptop seems working fine, it's just something is missing and i couldnt help myself. And i appreciate you guys for your quick replies. Thanks in advance.

You're very welcome.
Unfortunately, since neither driver worked and manually installing it didn't work either, I don't have any other ideas for you to try.
While it is always nice to have everything working, having the IMEI device installed is not a requirement for your PC to operate normally.
The error report in your screen shot indicates 'Another Installation is already in progress,' so try this.
Click on the IMEI device, and select uninstall. Check the uninstall driver box, restart the PC and try installing the newer driver again.

Hey Paul, here's what i got when i tried to re-install it (see image below)
If i could only install this missing: Kernel-Mode Driver Framework 1.11(2685811) in my windows 7 64-bit and this might fixed it.
Do you have guys any idea how to install this update? Thanks in advance!

You're very welcome.
Unfortunately, I don't know either, so I suggest you post that question on the Microsoft Windows Support forum, and hopefully someone will be able to help you with that.
