Thank you for showing your interest in HP Support Forums. It is a great place to find the help you need, from other users, HP experts, and other support personnel. I see from your post that you are having issues with the password. Don't worry I'll do my best to help you with this.
To provide you with an accurate solution, I'll need a few more details:
What is the product number of your product? Use this link to find it: http://hp.care/2bygf7l Use this link to find it: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c03754824 (Ensure you do not share any of your personal information such as serial, phone number, email ID, etc...).
Is it Windows login password or Bios password?
If this is to do with Windows login password? What type of account have you created? Is it local account or Microsoft account.
Did you attempt to reset using the safe mode or the recovery manager?
Have you checked any forums post? I you haven't, Here's a related HP forums post which seems to have helped others: Click here
While you reply, here are a few steps you can attempt to fix:
Before we begin we need the answer to the question: Which type of account did you create?
Try this first: Use the HP Guided Solution:
Let us guide you through the solution
Microsoft account
Reset your Microsoft account password online. You can reset your password on any device connected to the Internet.
See the Microsoft password reset page (in English) to reset your password.
Local account
Use one of the following options to reset the password for your local account.
-
If you have created a password reset disk, use the disk to reset your password. See Reset your local user account password using a password reset disk.
-
If you do not have a password reset disk, you may be able to reset the password from a different administrator account. See Changing the local user account password from another user account.
-
If you are not able to access the account see Accessing your account when no other option is available.
For more details: Click here
If there are no other accounts with Administrator rights, you do not have a password reset disk, try these other options:
-
You can perform an HP System Recovery to completely erase all files, including password information, and go back to the way the system was when it was first purchased. For more information, see HP Guided Solution - Performing an HP System Recovery.
-
If you haven't created a set of recovery media, then I would suggest you to obtain recovery media - Here's what you need to know about obtaining a recovery media for yourself: Click here
Could you please respond to this post with the details and with the results of the troubleshooting as this will help me in further assisting you.
