hp 240 G4
Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit)

I need help with my notebook pc, it's model is hp 240 G4, Intel PDC 3825U @ 1.9 GHz, 4 GB DDR3 memomry. The problem began after I formated and re-installed my pc with win 7, 32-bit; the notebook mouse( I mean the mouse attached to my notebook pc) isn't working properly. Well yes it is still working, but I can't scroll the pages up or down with it and I can't zoom in or out also. What to do? Please help.

Yes.

Just double-click to run the file and follow the on-screen instructions.

Installation should be automatic.

You may have to restart the PC after installing the driver.

Hi:

The only suggestion I can offer would be to install the touchpad driver from your notebook's support page...

This package provides the driver that enables the Synaptics TouchPad in supported notebook models that are running a supported operating system. The driver enables general touchpad functionality (for example double-tap and scroll) and provides a user interface.

Okay, I downloaded it. And now, should I just run it? Or what?

Uhh...hey, I got a problem here... You see, I installed it and then all the steps happened and even restart my pc. But, it didn't work, I mean I still can't scroll up or down and can't zoom in or out... What should I do? Restart pc again or re-install it?

Hi:

Unfortunately, I don't know what you have to do about that.

Did you look in the control panel for the scroll pad settings?

On my HP 350 G1 notebook, there is a Synaptics Luxpad control (change the control panel view to large icons).

I had to check the scrolling option in order to be able to scroll.

It was off by default.

That would be the only suggestion I can offer.

I have searched the control panel for scroll pad settings but it says that there is no item that matches my search. What should I do? Please help.

HP Recommended

See if the driver directly from Synaptics works for you instead.

If that doesn't work, unfortunately, I won't be able to help you any further with this problem.

Windows 8/7/XP/Vista 64/32-bit Edition v17.0.19 --  3rd one on the list.

It is a zip file so you will have to download, unzip the file and double click to run the setup application to install the driver.
