When was it is working before?

Is it happen after any update or software installation?

Have you performed the battery test on the HP Support assistance?

In the meantime, Please perform the hard reset steps and check for the issue.

To perform a hard reset, use the following steps:

Turn off the computer.
Remove the computer from any port replicator or docking station.
Disconnect all externally connected devices: USB storage devices, external displays, printers, etc.
Unplug the AC adapter from the notebook computer.
Remove the battery from the battery compartment.
Press and hold down the Power button for about 15 seconds to drain any residual electrical charge from the capacitors that protect the memory.
Insert the battery and plug the AC adapter back into the notebook computer, but do not connect any of the peripheral devices.
Press the Power button to turn on the computer.

Also, please refer to the below link to troubleshoot the battery.

Thank you for the update.

Reinstalled Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery under device manager:

1) In the search box, type, and open “Device Manager”.

2) Expand “Batteries”.

3) Right-click the "Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery" that is listed there.

4) Click on “Uninstall”.

5) At the prompt put a check in the box to remove the current driver

6) Shutdown the computer.

7) Remove the battery for a minute and then put it back in.

😎 When the computer comes back up it should automatically find the driver.

9) Go to Device Manager.

10) Expand Batteries.

11) Right-click the "Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery" that is listed there.

12) Click "Search automatically for updated driver software"

Do the same thing with Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Embedded Controller.

Restart the computer and the issue should be fixed.

Please update the BIOS and check for the issue.
