Hello HP Community,

 

I recently had to get my laptop's primary SSD replaced at a local repair centre after the original drive failed. The technician installed a fresh copy of Windows 11 Pro on the new drive. Originally, my laptop came pre-installed with Microsoft Office Home. However, because the repair shop did a clean install of a generic Pro OS, the factory recovery partitions and the original digital entitlement links are completely gone. I checked the motherboard hardware info using system tools, and it shows my original factory injected key is: Win 10 RTM CoreSingleLanguage OEM:DM. Because the OS tier was changed to Pro, the Microsoft Store "Included with device" section is completely blank, and my Microsoft Account dashboard doesn't show the license because it was never manually bound before the drive failure. Since the motherboard is original and holds the valid factory license footprint, how can I reclaim or trigger the digital entitlement for my pre-installed Office Home on this new installation?
