I am using my pre installed Cyberlink DVD Suite and both Power2GO V.6 and Powerdirector V.8 crashes constantly. If I click on title edit or other buttons and features it states powerdirector is not responding and needs to close. I have looked everywhere for any patches or updates for this product and have gotten steered back to HP Support bt the tech support folks at Cyberlink. I feel like I am in a loop here and cannot finish my family slideshow project like this.
Please help or provide links to "Active" fixes. The ones in this forum all return an error message that states no longer available.
Respectfully,
Bob Reece

Thank you for posting on HP Forums,
Riddle_Decipher is at your service.
As I understand you need assistance in fixing the preinstalled applications that are currently crashing,
No worries, as I'll be glad to help you, that said, I'll need a few more details to dissect your concern & provide an accurate solution:
Have you attempted to reinstall them using the HP website?
If you haven't, please Click here to find and install the same,
If you aren't able to find them or you have installed them but the issue persists:
Click here to recover the original application from the HP Recovery manager to reinstall and resolve the issue.
Do get back to me as I have a few more tricks up my sleeve,
That said, If I have helped you resolve the issue,
feel free to give me a virtual high-five by clicking the 'Thumbs Up' icon
followed by clicking on 'Accepted as Solution'
And Have a great day Ahead!

Hello and Thank you for your rapid response to my first post in this forum. I have tried the HP Revovery option already and the programs still locks up (Not Resonding) when i use the features. And regarding HP Recovery manager and the "Re-install Software" option. I tried to open Corel VideoStudio Pro X3 also pre-installed and it wont run even if i am logged on as administrator.
I right click on the program and select "Run As Administrator" or use the "All Programs" on the start menu and it just shows the hour glass for a few seconds but the program never opens.
So this Marine attempts to re-Install Corel Videostudio Pro X3 using the handy recovery manager and the program(Corel Videostudio Pro X3) is not there. I then check and find the corel CVSPROX3 Folders and all the executable and other files are in the folder but even running the .Exe frpm there as admin it fails to load.
So your reply had excellent suggestions that should have worked. I tried the first link and it was a dead end Page not found. (If you haven't, please Click here to find and install the same,) I I hope you can help me find sulotions to these issues.
Respectfully,
Bob

Thank you for responding,
It's great to have you back 😉
I'm not sure why the link didn't work for you as its working fine for me,
That said, here's another link that should re-direct you to the same website: Click here
Also, If you have completed the steps for Using Recovery Manager to Restore Software and Drivers and it didn't work, perhaps, you could tell me what exactly happen, did you get any error message or did you not find the application?
Keep me posted,
If the information I've provided was helpful,
give us some reinforcement by clicking the solution and kudos buttons,
that'll help us and others see that we've got the answers!
Good Luck.

Hello fellow Forum members. I am pleased to report that Cyberlink came around and they upgraded my version 8 Powerdirector software with a new version 9 of powerdiretor at no charge. I was stunned when I got the email from the tech support team. This version is really feature rich and I am a happy camper!
I still take my hat off to the very knowlegable HP employees that were digging to find me a solution. I really appreciate your time and effort and am a proud supporter of the HP Brand. I love my 4000 series DV7 Pavilion Entertaiment notebook PC and purchased it back in 2011 and it has never given me any type of Hardware issues or system issues. I hope it lasts a few more years.
Keep up the hard work and maybe i will award y'all witha badge!
