Preinstalled Windows activation issue after reinstallation.

Your PC came with an HP OEM version of Windows preinstalled and activated.

 

If you "reinstalled" Windows using a retail version, that will NOT activate, as your HP OEM key will not work with that version.

If you are having activation issues, most likely your notebook came with W10 Home Single Language and you installed the regular version of W10 Home.

 

So, you can either go back and install W10 Home Single Language, or since your notebook is supported by the HP cloud recovery client utility, you can make a bootable USB HP factory recovery image to reinstall W10.

I have also zipped up and attached a free utility below, that will show you exactly what version of W10 your notebook has, and the product key.
