Hi @ofirb32,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
To reset or align the printer colors on an HP Envy 5070 printer, you generally need to go through a series of steps to ensure the colors are printing correctly. Here’s how you can do it:
1. Check Ink Levels:
Before resetting colors, make sure your ink cartridges are properly installed and have sufficient ink. Low ink levels can affect print quality.
2. Perform a Printer Self-Test:
This step helps diagnose color issues and might prompt you to realign or clean the printheads.
Access the Control Panel:
- On the printer's control panel, press the "Setup" button (often depicted as a wrench or gear icon).
Navigate to Tools:
- Use the arrow keys to select "Tools" or "Printer Maintenance".
Print a Diagnostic Page:
- Select "Print Quality Report" or "Print Test Page". This page will help you assess the color alignment and quality.
3. Align the Printheads:
This process corrects any color misalignments.
Go to the Control Panel:
- Press the "Setup" button again.
Find the Printer Maintenance Options:
- Select "Printer Maintenance" or "Tools".
Select Align Printheads:
- Choose "Align Printheads" or "Align Cartridges". The printer will print an alignment page and prompt you to insert it back into the scanner for alignment.
4. Clean the Printheads:
Cleaning the printheads can resolve issues with color quality.
Access the Maintenance Menu:
- From the "Setup" menu, select "Printer Maintenance".
Choose Clean Printheads:
- Select "Clean Printheads" or "Clean Cartridges". Follow the on-screen instructions. The printer will perform a cleaning cycle to improve color output.
5. Print a Test Page:
After alignment and cleaning, print a test page to check if the color issues are resolved.
Access the Control Panel:
- Again, press the "Setup" button.
Select Print Quality Report:
- Choose "Print Quality Report" or "Print Test Page" to evaluate color performance.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
