Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I need to identify an HP laptop I have and I only have the s/n on this guy.

The ac adapter is missing, unit has a dead battery and I can not read the label on bottom.

Can anyone tell me the product number by the S/N ? I need to know so I can order the ac adapter

Welcome to the HP support community.

 

You can find the serial number by pressing key combinations.

  • Using the built-in keyboard, press Fn + Esc.
  • Find the serial number in the window that opens. If a System Information window does not open, continue with these steps.
  • In Windows, search for and open Command Prompt.
  • In the command prompt window, type wmic bios get serialnumber, and then press Enter.
