Chrome OS

Hi,

I'm considering purchasing a HP chromebook 11a. I am not sure whether it is possible to use Microsoft word, Google classroom and streaming services such as Netflix on this device.

Any advice would be appreciated,

Thank you

Welcome to the HP User Community.

"HP" Chromebook is a Google Chromebook with an HP name on it.

Chromebooks run ChromeOS.

The ChromeOS systems are very inexpensive because they only do what ChromeOS supports.

For some people, this is enough - Google has a whole industry based on Chromebook and ChromeOS.

Check what a Google Chromebook can do - and the HP named Chromebook can do that.

One example article:

Remember that your options are limited - ChromeOS is not Windows, it is not MacOS, it is not Linux.

For example, ChromeOS is an online web based OS that depends on applications from the Google Store.

Is there a ChromeOS Office version?  No idea.  Word is Microsoft - not the same animal.

Might be something "Word-ish" for ChromeOS.

Another example, ChromeOS does not support installing full driver printer software.

True - I'm not a fan.

Also True - I don't represent anyone except myself.
