Paviilion cs-3006ns
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have recently bought an HP Pavilion with Windows 10. It came with McAfee Virus Protection for 30 days. I prefer ESET so removed McAfee and installed ESET. However the McAfee icon is still in the Windows Start panel and I can't seem to remove it.

How do I get rid...
Also, this is the first device I've owned which doesn't have right and left click buttons, just one panel. Mostly I don't have a problem, but sometimes a right click instruction is useless. What do i do then!

I hate changing PC's.

Thank you Promethee for your reply. Unfortunately it didn't help, because my problem was tied to paragraph 2 of my question saying I have no right click button. Had I had one I could have sussed it...

Anyway I now have, and for any of you out there that had the same problem as me, I have news for you.

If you have a nice new laptop that has a touchpad without a left and right click button associated, here's the answer... You will have worked out intuitively that the left button is a click on the touchpad, but a right click is an industry secret! Two fingers is what you need. Tap the touchpad with two fingers of your right hand SIMULTANEOUSLY and you get the equivalent of the right click.

Nobody told me this. It's not in the instructions with the new laptop. My tech savvy kids didn't know. The first Google search didn't reveal it, but the second one did when I read well down a page I was led to.

How are you supposed to know? I despair at the IT world. I've been using computers at work and at home since the late1980's so I'm not a newcomer, and yet developments are made but not passed on to the public in the form of information. We'll take your money but you go figure it out yourself is the attitude. The worst example is Apple.

Cheers

Excuse me @ArielDave

I rather focused on your icon problem.

Know how to remove it, because it's a little different with windows 10!

I confess that I did not understand your description here:

" Also, this is the first device I've owned which doesn't have right and left click buttons, just one panel."

I didn't understand, that you didn't know how to use the pad

now I don't know if it's this computer:

But you will find a lot of information here
