I’m having trouble opening the back cover from my HP notebook no matter how many tutorials I watch. I’m mainly doing it because I’ve gotten multiple on screen messages about replacing the battery.

Below is the link to the service manual for your notebook.

 

Maintenance and Service Guide HP 15 Laptop PC

 

The bottom cover removal can be found in chapter 6..

 

There are also these service videos for how to remove the optical drive and bottom cover.

 

You have to remove the DVD drive first.
