Firstly please ignore the product name in my profile because I cannot find the correct HP product and that's what comes up when I enter the serial number..
After replacing a defective hard drive and reinstalling Windows 10 the built in SD card reader in my HP Laptop Model:15-e005TX does not work,
Numerous support forums say to download the SD reader driver but I cannot find my model of laptop on the HP driver site.
Can anyone tell me where to get a driver for the built in SD card reader, and how to install it.
Here's the machine details
Serial: [personal info removed]
Product: E3A54PA#ABG
Model:15-e005TX
Microsoft Windows 10 Home
Version 10.0.19054 Build 19054
System Name DESKTOP-FDHBBMK
System Model HP Pavilion 15 Notebook PC

HP does not support your notebook with W10 drivers.
The only suggestion I can offer would be to try the W8.1 SD card reader driver from your notebook's support page.
It should work on W10:

You're very welcome, Phil.
You can't find the driver support page by going through the HP support site because the model series has been retired.
But if you do a general internet search by your PC's model number, you can find the driver page that way.
Cheers,
Paul
