Tengo un portátil HP - PC Notebook HP 15s-fq1091ns y necesito saber si la placa base viene con el chip TPM instalado, porque Windows Update dice que mi portátil no reúne los requisitos suficientes para actualizar a Windows 11. É He leído que necesito tener activado el Secure Boot en la UEFI del ordenador. Si no tuviese instalado el chip TPM, ¿qué puedo y debo hacer para instalar uno? Si se instala el TPM, ¿se soluciona el problema? G ¿hay alguna otra solución posible?

Hi:

According to the service manual, your notebook should have a firmware based TPM device.

Unfortunately, Windows does not recognize that type of TPM device as a hardware based TPM device, which is why W11 is reporting that your PC is not supported for W11.

Go into the BIOS and see if the TPM security device is enabled.  That setting may be in the security menu.

I don't know exactly where it is.

If the TPM is enabled then there should be a Security devices category in the device manager.

If there is no security device category that shows a TPM 2.0 security device is installed, then unfortunately, there is nothing you can do such as adding the hardware to the motherboard.

There is a way to bypass the W11 hardware checks to install W11.

You have to use the version of the Rufus utility that I zipped up and attached in the discussion (v3.18).

If the in-place upgrade fails, you should be able to clean install W11 using the bootable W11 installation flash drive you made with Rufus.
