Should I keep my laptop plugged in during gaming?

I want to play games on my laptop but my laptop don't have limit charge at 80%. Does playing games while plugged in can shorten lifespan of my battery? Why HP don't have charge limit at 80% on this laptop model?

Bottom line...it is fine to leave your notebook plugged in most of the time.

Ohhhhh.... So what you can recommend or tricks to prevent battery swelling while gaming on this laptop? Cause if i play games on battery and recharge it, then battery cycle will greatly reduce. 

I don't know why HP don't provide all their laptop an charging protection.
