I can't seem to get Skype downloaded onto my laptop. If I open my apps I have an option to "Get Skype". If I select it I get "this product is installed" so I click on Open then I get a down;oad Skype screen.  I can get as far as running the Skype set up exe and it looks as if it is working but the installation doesn't complete so I have to end the task. I can't get past the scrolling installation bar.  I was told that Skype was preinstalled as I only recently bought this laptop but if that's the case, where do I find it?  Any comments or links to a suitable download appreciated.

Did you try to go to the Microsoft site to redownoad skype? Skype is a Microsoft software not a HP software. If you can't get it installed then you need to contact Skype support on the Microsoft support site.

Through a very roundabout way I have managed to get Skype up and running.  Don't ask me how as I have been into so many sites and help forums I have lost count!!! Case closed.

Yes, thanks. I realised afterwards that I should have gone straight to Microsoft site,
