Dear HP Community,

I am seeking assistance regarding my stolen HP laptop.

My HP laptop was stolen from my residence on 31 August 2026, between approximately 4:40 PM and 7:00 PM. The residence was entered by opening/breaking the lock, and the laptop was taken from a table inside the room. My roommate's laptop was also stolen during the same incident.

The theft has already been reported to the police in Bangladesh.

Police GD Number: 30
GD Date: 01 September 2026
GD Tracking Number: SZFTL8

I am the original owner of the HP laptop and I have the original purchase invoice as proof of ownership.

I would like to know whether HP has any official procedure to report a stolen laptop and have the device flagged in HP's records. I would also like to know whether HP can assist law enforcement if the device is later brought to an HP-authorized service center for repair or support.

Please advise me on the correct procedure and what documents I need to provide to HP.

I understand that HP may not be able to provide a live location of the device. My main request is to officially report the stolen device and understand what assistance HP can provide for recovery.

Thank you.
