@OneEyeRabbit Thanks for sharing your concern with the HP Community,
here's what I'll need, so I may be able to provide an accurate solution:
What is the product number of your device? Use this link to find it: click here
(Ensure you do not share any of your personal information such as serial, phone number, email ID, etc.)
Have you attempted any steps on your own before posting on the HP Forums?
When was the last time it worked without these issues?
In the meantime, please try the steps mentioned on this link: Click here
And click here to access the HP website for the compatible drivers.
Please reply with the details for further assistance.
Eager to help!

Product Name:HP Envy 17 Notebook PC
Product Number:LW900AV
Serial Number:[edited]
HP BeatsAudio (Sounds Great)
USING "Catalyst Control Center" I've switched to;
Intel(R) HD Graphics 3000 (1920X1080-[32Bit])
Display: HPx2301
KeyBd&Mouse:HP Wireless USB-2
Procsser:2860Q & Graphics Card:AMD7690M-XT
When I upgraded to Windows10 it had installed
AMD Radeon HD 6700M - I have a AMD Radeon HD 7690M-XT
I MUST have switchable graphics to Intel HD-3000
(because the 7690 has a Hardware Problem [not worth fixing])
when Windows10 booted, I got a Totally Green Screen and
NO Keyboard Control - the only way to recover was to use the
Shift Ky and POWER BUTTON combo, then when Windows rebooted
it switched to LOW RES 8-Bit video.
----------------ALSO----------------
In Windows10 the sound quality was really BAD like listening
to a TinCan and String setup the HP BeatsAudio is really needed.
In frustration I had to Revert back to Windows7 NOW the sound
IS great and the video is back to normal (1920X1080-32Bit).
Because Windows7 is at it's End of Life I'm going to
TRY AGAIN to upgrade, any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in Advance

@OneEyeRabbit The drivers on the HP website are only available for Windows 7 & 8, as it wasn't designed for Windows 10: click here to verify,
That said, If you like Windows 7, you can continue to use it, its just that there wouldn't be any support available if there are any OS related issues nor would there be any updates released for Windows 7, though, you can continue to use it either way, that's your call.
If you wish to switch to Windows 10, you may do so, however, since this product was not designed for Win10, there are no drivers available from HP, you may need to check 3rd party websites such as driverscape.com and others for more details on the same.
I hope that helps!
If you wish to thank me for my efforts, you could click on "Accept as solution" on my post as the solution should help others too.
