Pavilion 15 n020el
Microsoft Windows 8 (64-bit)

Hello.

I would want to do a BIOS update on a Pavilion 15 n020el notebook, but the BIOS file name i downloaded from support site doesn't coincide with the System Board ID of the notebook. The System ID of the notebook is 216F, while the file downloaded from here (original file name: sp79552.exe) is 216D. I tried to download from other Pavilion 15 variants' pages, but i didn't found a BIOS file named 216F.

Can i update with the 216D file?

Here are additional information about the notebook:

Product number: F2T74EA#ABZ

Born On Date: 02/16/2014

BIOS Version: F.00

I am in front of two bios files: 0216D.bin and 02169.bin; what should i use?

The issue i am spotting with this notebook is that its Windows 8 doesn't start anymore. I specified more details in the following topic: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Boot-and-Lockup/Not-able-to-start-Windows-and-to-perform-a-da...
