Yes Ostrovse I understand and I was tempted to do the same thing.
I also suspect it will continue to work OK but I wish to make HP understand the meaning of proper Customer Support in this matter.
Let us see if they eventually respond.

This is resolution i got from HP support. This has resolved the issue for me.
The solution for the Issue that you were facing is that on the Support page you can download the Model HP Spectre Notebook PC (models 13-ab000 ~ 13-ab099).
This was a typo mistake for the 13-ac000 (Sphinx2.0) Model, not 13-ab000. I request you to kindly download the Softpaq for this model from the support site: https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c05792935

This has worked for me.
Perhaps someone from HP could explain why they simply do not publish an advisory and correct the 'typo' on the support bulletin!!
Responding only to individuals misses out all those people who are not necessarily computer literate and who do not sign up to a forum like this one.
