my laptiop: HP Pavilion Gaming Laptop 16-a0
CPU i5-10300H, BIOS: F.22 ami
I have two systems installed: windows 💩10 and ubuntu 🐧 20.04 LTS
after updating windows, fans stopped working at full capacity in both systems. They weakly spin even when the temperature = 90-100 C. Previously, there was no such thing.
It's the same in ubuntu. They almost does not spin for a long time (at low speed) and at some point a thermal shutdown occurs. (90D)
I had updated the BIOS, but nothing had changed.
BUT. in uefi there is a diagnostics (f2) and there is a stress test of the processor. When I start it, then the fans work at full power as needed.
Thermal interface material is ok.
The laptop is clean, dust-free.
