HP ENVY Laptop PC 13-ba1085cl

I have connected my HP Envy to my work Thunderbolt Docking HP USB-C Dock G5, but after a little while my computer gets Hot.  Is the Thunderbolt not compatible to my HP Envy?  Is there one that is compatible? Thanks

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

 

Your HP Envy 13 should work with the HP USB-C Dock G5 if it has a USB-C port.

Why it's getting hot:

The dock might be using more power than the laptop can handle, especially if you're using multiple peripherals or displays.

Your laptop's cooling system might not be enough for the extra load from the dock.

 

Update drivers on your laptop and the dock to ensure compatibility.

Use a cooling pad to help with the heat.

Check apps: Close any resource-heavy programs running in the background.
