@tmagic650 Greetings from the HP Community!

Here's what you need to do:

Step 1. Tap Windows + X, click on Settings > click Devices icon and then click Touchpad.

Step 2: Under Touchpad section, turn off the option labelled Leave touchpad on when a mouse is connected. Please note that the option might not appear in non-precision touchpads.

disable touchpad when mouse is connected in Windows 10

Can you look up my specific model 3VN38UA#ABA. You're and HP employee. Did I buy a counterfeit HP Laptop? Why is this so difficult?

@tmagic650 (Although, I wanted to keep the reset as the last option) I see that you've performed a reset that resolved the issue, as suggested by @praveen196

I'm glad it's resolved, if you have any other concerns, please keep me posted.

Have a good day, ahead.
