I can't find touchpad drivers for my laptop (hp pavilion 15-cb009nm). Can you provide them? I have Windows 11 25H2 version.

Hi @Luka47

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

I understand how inconvenient it feels when you cannot locate the right touchpad drivers for your HP Pavilion 15‑cb009nm, especially after upgrading to Windows 11 25H2. Thank you for checking already—that effort is appreciated.

Let’s go through how you can safely get the correct drivers and restore smooth touchpad functionality.

  • You can download drivers directly from HP’s official support site:
    HP Software and Driver Downloads
  • Enter your product number (15‑cb009nm) or allow the site to auto‑detect your device.
  • Look under the Driver – Keyboard, Mouse, and Input Devices section for the Synaptics or ELAN Touchpad Driver.

Steps to Install

Uninstall Old Drivers

  • Press Windows + X and select Device Manager.
  • Expand Mice and other pointing devices.
  • Right‑click the touchpad driver and select Uninstall device.
  • Restart your laptop.

Install HP Drivers

  • Run the downloaded driver installer from HP’s site.
  • Follow the on‑screen instructions.
  • Restart the laptop after installation.

Update via Windows

  • Press Windows + I to open Settings.
  • Go to Update & Security > Windows Update.
  • Select Check for updates to ensure the latest patches are applied.

Alternative Path

  • If the HP driver section does not list a Windows 11‑specific touchpad driver, install the Windows 10 driver provided for your model.
  • Windows 11 is backward compatible with most Windows 10 drivers, and this often restores full touchpad functionality.

By uninstalling the old driver, installing the correct Synaptics/ELAN driver from HP’s site, and refreshing Windows updates, you’ll give your Pavilion 15‑cb009nm a clean slate to restore touchpad responsiveness.

Hi @Ongera,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand your HP Pavilion x360 14-ek-0033dx is missing touchpad and touchscreen functionality after installing Windows 11 version 25H2. Let’s go through a few steps to check what could be causing this.

Confirm Windows 11 version and build
Open Settings > System > About and confirm the device is running Windows 11 25H2.
Newer builds can temporarily lack compatible drivers until chipset components are installed.

Install chipset and Intel Serial IO drivers first
Download and install the Chipset and Intel Serial IO drivers for your exact model.
These drivers are required for Windows to detect touchpad and touchscreen hardware.

Restart the laptop after chipset installation
Restarting allows Windows to re-enumerate I2C and HID devices.
Touchpad and touchscreen often appear only after this reboot.

Check Device Manager for hidden devices
Open Device Manager and expand Human Interface Devices and Mice and other pointing devices.
Look for unknown devices or entries with a warning icon.

Update drivers from Device Manager manually
Right-click any unknown or disabled device and select Update driver.
Choose “Search automatically” to let Windows load inbox HID drivers.

Run Windows Update including optional updates
Go to Settings > Windows Update and install all updates.
Open Optional updates and install any driver updates listed there.

Install HP Support Assistant updates
Open HP Support Assistant and check for available updates.
Install any firmware, BIOS, or input-device related updates shown.

Check BIOS input settings
Restart and press Esc, then F10 to enter BIOS.
Confirm the internal pointing device and touchscreen options are enabled.

Perform a power reset
Shut down the laptop and unplug the charger.
Hold the power button for 15 seconds, reconnect power, and start the system.

Recheck touchpad and touchscreen after reboot
Once Windows loads, test touchpad movement and touch input.
If drivers are installed correctly, both devices should reappear automatically.

These steps usually resolve missing touchpad and touchscreen drivers after a Windows 11 feature update by restoring the required chipset and HID dependencies.

I hope this helps.
