Hi - I've updated the BIOS and Chipset Drivers, then restarted the system.  Still no additional options available and problem persists.

@RBJLP If that didn't work, install Synaptics app from the Microsoft store.

Once installed, launch it and you will be able to modify its settings.

To quickly access the TouchPad settings, you can put its shortcut icon in the taskbar. For that, go to Control Panel > Mouse. Go to the last tab, i.e. TouchPad or ClickPad. Here enable Static or Dynamic tray icon present under Tray Icon and click Ok to apply the changes.

Thanks - so that's allowed me to disable the zoom function.  Interestingly though, although it is disabled and when I pinch zoom on the touchpad it no longer operates the function, it will occasionally still inadvertently zoom when scrolling.  The frequency is less, and so far I have only noticed this in MS Edge rather than Firefox.  I'll see how it behaves over time, but for now, thanks for your help....it does seem to be improved.

@RBJLP That's good, and if the issue is occurring while the setting is disabled, and it appears only on edge, this is most likely an issue with the MS Edge browser, either reset if or use an alternate browser, if the issue persists, I suggest using either Opera or Google Chrome (my personal favorites)

I had the same issue as many people around this forum - zoom when two finger scrolling on touchpad. My laptop is HP 430 G4. All solutions are wrong:  disabling sticky keys, disabling pinch to zoom, BIOS update, drivers reinstall itp. This is not an issue with touchpad - this is issue with keyboard! People noticed - when zooming occurs - just open onscreen keyboard and you can se CTRL keys stuck. As someone opened website with keyboard test - it even showed that only RIGHT CTRL is pressed. Ctrl+two finger scroll=zoom. I edited registry to disable right CTRL and it works great.

Another question is why CTRL key stucks. In my opinion it has something in common with Windows 10 touchpad swipe gestures that I configured to act as shortcuts like CTRL+W, CTRL+Shift+T, which probably sometimes stuck Ctrl after use. Disabling right CTRL doesn't affect these shortcuts.

When you ask about stuck CTRL all mentioned solutions are again: disabling sticky keys, BIOS update, exchange your flooded keyboard... screw it.

This isn't  a matter of stuck CTRL key, touchpad or zoom settings. I find this only happens with Edge and not with any other browser or app. I filed a bug with MS and suggest all who have this problem do the same. In the meantime use another browser.

I saw a post that this is Edge-specific, and this seems true. I submitted a bug report and switched to Chrome.

Yes I've only noticed this in Edge - using other browsers seems fine.

This bug now been fixed with Edge version 80.

Would like to disable this feature.  All solutions state going to settings.  There are no settings listed for the touchpad.
