SP73296 HP Recovery Manager Update 2.00 Rev.A Oct 23, 2015
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Please be Careful,

I downloaded (SP73296 HP Recovery Manager Update 2.00 Rev.A Oct 23, 2015) and tried to install  on my HP Notebook - 15-f272wm (ENERGY STAR), but the anti virus gave me the following message:

Alert level: Severe
Trojan:Win32/Kovter.G
Details: This program is dangerous and executes commands from an attacker.

Affected items:
CmdLine: C:\Windows\System32\mshta.exe javascript:{new ActiveXObject(InternetExplorer.Application).PutProperty('591167',window);window.resizeTo(500,200);window.moveTo(433,284)}

I wanted to report it to HP to remove it, but I didn't know where to do that.

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).

If you are unfamiliar with how the Community's private message capability works, you can learn about that here.
Thank you for visiting the HP Support Community.
