Hi guys. I have done a clean installation of Windows 10 64-bit Home Edition. I installed but the touchscreen doesn't work on Windows, but it works in BIOS. I have tried all the options, updating drivers from HP, but it doesn't work. If I press the window icon of the screen frame in tablet mode, it switches on, but if I touch the screen with my finger, it doesn't work . I don't know what to do; many threats are very old, and I can't find those drivers. I will be very grateful if anyone can help and explain to me step by step how to solve this. I am getting crazy.
Thanks.

Hi @SSShhh,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.
Thanks for the detailed explanation. Since your HP Pavilion x360 11-n226br touchscreen works in BIOS but not in Windows 10 (64-bit) after a clean install, the issue is almost certainly driver-related, specifically the HID-compliant touch screen driver.
Here’s a step-by-step guide to fix it:
1. Check if Touchscreen is Detected
- Press Windows + S, type Device Manager, and open it.
- Expand Human Interface Devices.
- Look for an HID-compliant touch screen.
- If it’s missing, continue to Step 2.
- If it’s present but not working, right-click it and choose Enable (if available), or Uninstall and then Restart your PC.
2. Install HP Drivers Manually
- Visit the official HP support page for your model:
👉 HP Pavilion x360 - 11-n226br (ENERGY STAR) Software and Driver Downloads | HP® Support - Download and install:
- Intel Chipset Driver
- Intel I/O Drivers
- HP System Event Utility
- Intel Serial IO Driver
- Touchscreen or HID drivers (if listed)
3. Run Windows Update
- Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update.
- Click Check for updates and install everything available.
- Restart your PC.
4. Calibrate the Touchscreen
- Press Windows + S, type Calibrate the screen for pen and touch input, and open it.
- Click Setup > choose Touch Input and follow the on-screen instructions.
5. Use HP’s Touchscreen Troubleshooter
- Follow this official HP guide:
👉 HP PCs - Troubleshooting touch screen issues in Windows 10 | HP® Support
I hope this helps.
Take care, and have an amazing day!
