I have chatted 5 times since about 5 PM this evening and could not get what I need.  I re-downloaded Windows 11 25H2 from the cloud, after the first chat said I could keep both my files (which I did) and my apps (which I could not).  Since then, I have been trying to retrieve not only missing HP components, but also the non-HP apps I had on the laptop prior to reinstalling Windows.  I am not getting anywhere with either one, because HP's update site does not accept Windows 11 25H2.  Please help!

Possibly your laptop has HP cloud recovery or client recovery.  The exact recovery tools depends on the laptop model.

HP is removing cloud recovery for system over 5 years old. The actual wording is a limited time after the warranty expires. You may want to get a copy of the cloud recovery before it is too late.

Cloud recovery provides all the custom HP drivers.
Go here and enter your product ID including the 3 characters after the # character. If you have cloud recovery you can restore your system using a 64gb flash.
It may take an hour or more to create the recovery USB. Alternately, download from the MS windows store. Click here for instructions.

Many commercial or "business" laptops have an alternate recovery tool different from that cloud.

If the HP site for your laptop is missing 25h2 drivers then you can go back as far as windows 7, 64 bit to get compatible drivers.
