Hei, I have installed Windows 10 on my new HP Elitebook 850 G6. The HP driver website has provided me with all drivers except two, and that is why i am creating this post. I have not been able to find them on my own, here are some details:
Driver 1:
Multimedia Audio Controller
Hardware ID's:
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_9DC8&SUBSYS_8549103C&REV_11
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_9DC8&SUBSYS_8549103C
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_9DC8&CC_040100
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_9DC8&CC_0401
Driver 2:
Unknown device
Hardware ID's:
ACPI\VEN_HPQ&DEV_6001
ACPI\HPQ6001
*HPQ6001

Hi:
Here is the link to the second ID you posted.
I will have to investigate further into the first one...
This package provides the driver for the HP Wireless Button on supported models running a supported operating system. HP Wireless Button allows the physical (hardware) wireless radio button on the system to enable and disable the wireless connection on the system.

You're very welcome.
From what I can tell the other ID is buried inside the Realtek Audio driver, which I assume you have installed.
For some reason, the driver didn't automatically install that device.
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp99001-99500/sp99097.exe
So, here is what I suggest you do.
If I am assuming wrong, install the above driver and that should install that device.
If I assumed correctly that you have installed that driver, then try manually installing the device as follows...
Go to the device manager, click on the Multimedia Audio Controller needing the driver.
Click on the driver tab. Click on Update Driver.
Select the Browse my computer for driver software option and browse to the driver folder that was created when you ran the Realtek Audio driver.
That folder will be located in C:\SWSetup\sp99097.
Make sure the include subfolders box is checked, and the driver should install.
Then restart the PC.
Here is a partial copy and paste of the driver setup information file which shows driver support for the hardware ID you posted...

Sorry that didn't work, but that is the driver you need.
If you manually search the driver folder, the driver is found in the IntelHDASST driver folder, IntcAudioBus setup information file.
Maybe you can try forcing the driver to install by when you are at the Browse my computer for driver software window, select the Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer.
Click on Have DISK and browse to: C:\SWSetup\sp99097\IntelHDASST\IntcAudioBus, click Next, and see if the driver installs that way.
Otherwise, I suggest you contact HP technical support and see if one of their folks can help you, because that driver should have worked.

I have tried the approach you describe now with the latest driver and it's 4 predecessors with no luck. The only thing I am confused about now is my choice before where you say "click on Have Disk". To get to that choice I choose "Disk drives" after "Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer". The error I get with every version of driver is:
"The folder you specified doesn't contain a compatible software driver for your device. If the folder contains a driver, make sure it is designed to work with Windows for x64-based systems"
And I checked the HP driver site that I was indeed downloading for x64-based systems.
Thanks for all the help you have given me.

You're very welcome.
Is there an Intel smart audio setting in the BIOS?
This discussion says to disable it.
Unfortunately, I don't have any other ideas to for you to fix that issue.
It is beyond my level of knowledge.
