So basically every time I try to type on my laptop each key seems to open a new window or page instead of typing. I've tried turning sticky keys on and off but other than that I don't know what else to try.

To do typing, you have to be running an application, like a web browser, that accepts keyboard input.

So, you need to tell us what you are running when you do this typing as that is likely the issue.

Well, obviously I was on something. Whether it's microsoft word or an Internet browser....it still does this. Opening a new window or a search box, etc. Tried sorting sticky keys setting and clearing the actual keyboard. Nothing helps.

OK, that is confusing, then.  If it were only Word, then it could be some kind of keyboard macro, but with a Browser as well, that's unlikely.

You need to connect a USB keyboard and see if it repeats with that.  IF it does not, then it's likely a hardware issue with the built-in keyboard.
