Ubuntu 20.04 LTS vs HP probook 440 g7 - fingerprint issue

Hello, the community!

I have an issue with the fingerprint on ProBook 440 g7, could someone help me with it, please?
How do I install the fingerprint driver and enable fingerprint pass?

I have tried several options, but it looks like I don't have a driver to use fingerprint.

@PavelKo

It's almost certainly LACK of Linux drivers for the fingerprint reader, and HP does not provide any Linux drivers.

I'm sorry, but HP only warranties their PCs for usage with the OS that comes preinstalled.

IF you replace that with a Linux distro, or add a Linux distro, then you assume full responsibility for maintaining that -- including solving any problems with booting the other OS and/or installing the other OS.

Your best bet for support with issues with Linux is to contact the support forum of the distro you are using.
