Unable to locate Ink Cartridge levels. HP Print & Scan Doctor & Hp Smart does not have information?

Dell Inspiron 24-5415 All-in one computer Hp Deskjet 1010 with USB  I was told by HP Print & Scan Doctor referred me to a  HP software link, where It deleted & re-installed. Printer works fine but the printer information for Ink Levels is not there. The HP Smart shows 2 printers (both HP Deskjet 1010) one has a yellow symbol the other sys printer offline but no other  infor-    mation is accessable (nothing is highlighted) I'am 80yrs old and I am really trying unsuccessfully. I have no way to access my ink cartridge levels.  I've checked Control Panel, Printer, and a few other places. Can anyone please help me?

Are you using this printer on a Windows computer?

If yes, which version of Windows OS is installed on the computer?

I have a Dell Inspiron 24-5415 & Google chrome is my search engine. I do get Window alerts & downloads. It was after a Window download that I noticed my printer icon was missing. I used Print Doctor to download a total software that uninstalled/re installed my printer. It works fine, I just can't open the printer status information, None of that info is highlighted.

Sandy, my granddtr discovered a update to Drive & Software on the HP website. I downloaded it and it gave me a new printer icon with all the information I needed. Thank you for all the time you spent trying to help me.
