What is the HPUP application in my HP folder, and can I delete it?

I suggest to leave it. it’s likely related to HP Support Assistant / HP updates.

Hi @DavidK15 

 

HP Update Package, 

 

It is used to update drivers; every time you download and install a software package, that file is created in the installation folder. Verify that the application certificate has been verified

 

example:

C:\SWSetup\SPxxxxx\hpup.exe : CN=HP Inc., O=HP Inc., L=Palo Alto, S=California, C=US

 

If you'd like, you can delete that folder
