For what it is worth, the random reboots stopped with kernel parameter `processor.max_cstate=1`. I have run 2 days now without any reboots. While it reduces battery life it is way better than reboots all the time. Let's hope newer kernel will fix this soon

I don't think there is a problem with your hardware, but RMA it if you wish. First, you should try to use the supported OS and kernel and it works fine (for me). Download the HP Ubuntu 24.04 from the HP support site, install that.
Set this in your /etc/default/grub file:
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="amd_iommu=off pcie_aspm=off"
Then upgrade to the latest OEM kernel: currently 6.14.0-1011-oem; this will be installed by installing the package linux-image-oem-24.04c.
Except for the inability to use non-HP chargers, this has been rock solid for me.

I'm already running the exact same image and kernel. I did try your suggested kernel flags ("amd_iommu=off pcie_aspm=off"), but it still reboots randomly. If I remove the max_cstate flag it reboots more frequently. The problem seems to disappear when running on battery, but I have not done extensive testing related to this and it is not really an alternative for me. The different charges I have tried makes no difference (original HP, 100w Dell PD,++).

I have to reply to my own post, it looks like the Modules for AMD ISP driver are not ready for mainstream kernel, i hope it gets into 6.18.

I use CachyOS with Kernel 6.16 on my device and it runs really smooth and performant, only the Webcam is not there yet. Ubuntu 24.04. is good for servers, but imho to old for desktop on new hardware.
