HP PAVILION DV6
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Hello HP, I have a HP pavilion dv6 notebook PC which requires virtualization technology to be enabled before I run certain software. I followed all the steps outlined to enter bios but cannot find the option for enabling virtualization technology. Please help.

@Barde1997,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

I reviewed your post and I understand that you are unable to enable virtualization on your computer.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

Virtualization is supported only in selected DV6 models. If your computer supports virtualization you will find this option in the BIOS under system configuration menu and from here, you can enable or disable virtualization.

I hope that answers your question and you have a great day!

Thanks for your response but unfortunately, this did not provide solution to my problems. I read from HP forum that there is a software upgrade that gives option for enabling virtualization technology in computers that didn't come come with this function. I need a solution.

@Barde1997,

As informed earlier, virtualization is supported only on certain models and it cannot be added with a software update.

I hope that answers your question.

Cheers!
