HP Pavilion g7-1135sd notebook
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Hello,

Can anyone tell me if there is either a hardware-connection or a software-connection between the build in webcam of a HP Pavilion g7-1135sd notebook and it's notification LED? Is it theoretically possible to turn on the webcam while the notification LED is off?

Kind regards, Celia

Hello @Celia_,

Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums! The forums are a great place where you can find solutions for your issues, with help from the community!

I read your post about the Webcam issue, and wanted to assist you!  I understand that you are trying to turn off the Webcam light, while the Webcam is still on.

I do not believe that this is possible for HP products.  However, you can try reviewing the following resource for more inforamtion:

How to disable webcam light on Windows (Not an HP supported Web site).
