Hi:

 

CTO means Configured To Order.

 

In other words, the customer (could be an individual, a company, or a major retailer) tells HP what hardware they want from a list of options offered in a particular PC model series.

 

For example a g7t-1100 CTO would have one of several Intel processors available, different size hard drives, and different model wifi adapters...some with or without Bluetooth.
